Jim Tatro's photos.
Me and a pet baboon I had for a while when I was in HQ.
Me behind EM barracks.
Me after I week in the field.
You've gotta look close but that's our camp in the middle of the picture. Had to chase a herd of baboons off the hill to take this.
Mike George from Flop Line. Spent a week end with him and Walter Szczepan fishing Lake Langano.
Walter Szczepan, also from Flop Line.
Walter tying in to a catfish. They were HUGE in that lake.
Rainbow over same lake--only clear water I saw in the whole country.
Highway to no-where.
Met this young man on the highway to no-where and bought 2 of his spears for .50 ¢. I had to cut them in half to fit in 'hold baggage' and lost the bottoms but still have the tips.
Smiley. Does anybody remember him? He worked in supply.. The burns on his arm are some kind of tribal thing he said.
Me when I worked in supply.
J. P. Little. I never quite knew what his job was.
Danny Schnure with a Gazelle he had just shot. If you see this Dan, I've got an extra picture for you.
I think I saw pictures of this turtle in someone elses album. So whoever that was, was taking the same picture the same time I was.
Vultures feeding on a dead sheep on the road on the way to the Flight Line.
Adesse (one of the guards at the mission) playing with pups. I got my dog Lady out of this bunch.
This was a Pvt. Murphy in the rover. He seemed to be permanent duty driver. We had two Murphys at the Mission when I was there. They were cousins.
One of the dependents on a cactus plant not far from the Mission.
Me straddling what I believe is the Awash River not too far out of Addis.

I spent a night in this place. It looked much nicer at midnight with a case of beer in your stomach. And besides, I thought her daddy was rich.
My tent is next to the James-Way, and the fridge of course.
Can't remember what was under that tree, but the tree itself was worth a picture.
