KP-1
These gentleman were Clumsy KPs.
I went to Clumsy after the Italy project. Both KPs spoke Italian, as did most of the older Arabs. I could speak some Italian which made me automatically their go to guy.
KP-2
I was invited to their tent for tea, introduced to others as their very good American friend etc.
On one occasion we meet the father of KP-1, shown here at a watering point on a main N-S road.
He got me into places I normally could not as in the tent with the three children. He knew the family.

PFC John Arias. John was a Captain in Mexican Army and served with us in Clumsy and Classic Field Parties as well as in Iran.
Jim Kirschenman with 18 months to go (or so I thought at the time) -- "I can do it standing on my head."
